Site Upgrade

For the longest time I’ve been ignoring the automated categorisation elements of this blog in favour of the functionality I built for gallery.imagicity.com (which provides most of the heavy lifting on this site). Today I finally took the time to add thumbnails to the built-in tag, archive and category listings.

Check it out! Here’s an example for the sunset tag.

By the way, all of the photos from Timor-Leste were taken using my brand new Tamron 20-200 zoom macro lens. Got it for about half list price. Happily, my original polarising filter fits nicely.

Aside from the polarising filter, though, I’ve done next to nothing to adjust the colour of these photos. I’ve actually had to tone things down in the sunset shots. You’d never believe me if I showed you how they came out of the camera.

I’ve finally got around to creating a listing of all my photos by date. I had a good time checking the links, dawdling past all those old images.

Imagine: I started taking photos semi-seriously 10 years ago!

Back From the Holidays

I took a break over the holidays, and so did my server. I’ve since rebuilt it with a few improvements, and have decided as a result to start afresh. Not much has changed in terms of the look of the thing, but there’ve been a lot of changes under the hood.
